Founded April 2012, William McQueen and Chris Compton Jr. formed a

Christian-based company called #churchclothes. Best friends since 6th

grade, William McQueen brought a God-given idea to Chris and from there

they started forming the blueprint of what today is known as #churchclothes.

 

#churchclothes sole purpose is to evangelize through t shirts to bring

people closer to God. Inspired to illuminate God’s Word, the slogans for

every shirt is scripture-based and prayed upon before ever going to

print.

 

Houston natives, both Will and Chris graduated from Klein Forest High

School in May of 2000, and went on to college to receive bachelors

degrees. Will received his degree from Sam Houston State University

and Chris from Grambling State University.

 

Members of The LightHouse Church, where Keion Henderson is the Senior

Pastor, Will and Chris started selling t shirts to friends and members of

the congregation. After a few weeks of advertising via Facebook and

church, #churchclothes started to evolve.
